| Our all vounteer art league had to redo an ineffective website. As you might imagine, a high percentage of our membership is very computer iliterate. Linda was wonderful, helping us to put all needed elements into our site, including a member's art gallery with shopping cart, on-line class registration, on-line newsletter and so much more. | Service is always good however I have a request. Since you have no shell access we are required to do everything through your control panel. As I'm sure you know this is very tedious. Having shell access would really be great especially for file and database management and especially since your file manager has some serious limitations. The most serious limitation is the way the "copy" function works. It doesn't behave the same as a UNIX or dos copy and will not overwrite files but merely puts a "copy_of" in the directory. For doing upgrades it's useless.
Can I get shell access? If not can you PLEASE fix the copy command in your file manager. Thanks, Ron Curry |

| There are days and there are days, and this was one of *those* days. I was hurriedly shoe-horning a Python test into a day already to filled with too many other tasks and kept getting a 500 error.
C. Schmidt (tactfully) asked one simple question: Had I checked my error log? I hadn't--and I know to! Anyway, I checked the log, googled the error and had the issue fixed within 5 minutes. It's really nice to know that even when one forgets to do something one should have done, it's met with good humor. |
